WEREDA is a sloop rigged sailing yacht built by S2 Yachts in Holland, Michigan to an A. Edmunds design. She is 36 ft LOA and 28.25 LWL. Beam is 11.92 ft. Draft is 5.5 ft. Her displacement in pounds is 15,000 with a ballast of 6,000 lbs. Her total sail area is 632 sq. ft. In Jan. 2014 Wereda's old Volvo Penta engine has been replaced with a new Yanmar 3YM30 and SD20 SailDrive . Her diesel fuel tank is 50 Gallons and her potable water tanks are total of 80 gallons (30 +50 Gallons).
Since Fall of 2004 she has been undergoing refitting to prepare her for extensive cruising that is to begin in Spring of 2009.
On May 2nd 2009 Wereda set sails for Key West, Florida. Arrived at NW Channel Green Buoy #1 at 2000 EST on Monday, May 11. Entered Channel at 0600 on Tuesday morning and docked at Conch Harbor, Key West at 0920 after refueling at the Shell Fuel Dock. Wereda moved to King's Pointe Marina on Stock Island Wednesday, May 13.
On Monday, Aug.10 we set sails for Curacao and arrived there approx. 27 hours later.
Original plan was to remain here for a month or two and sail to Puerto Cabello (approx.130nm) in Venezuela to cruise around Morrocoy Nat'l Park and outlying small islands. The uncertain situation in this beautiful country made me decide to stay put in Curacao. Wereda will remain here while I travel to England for Christmas and New Year holidays and while I am in Poland for almost a whole month of January.
Plans for sailing towards the Lesser Antilles will be made after my return to Curacao.
March 9th, 2010, Wereda set sails out of Curacao heading NNE to avoid Venezuelan Islands (regretfully), and on March 13th arrived at Ponce, Puerto Rico. From here we will sail East towards USVI.

It is mid June now and Wereda is already on the hard in Chaguaramas, Trinidad, awaiting needed upgrades. Last 2 months were spent cruising US and British Virgin Islands and down the East Caribbean Islands chain, making calls on St. Martin's Marigot, Guadelupe's Deshaies, Grenada's St. Georges and finally at Chaguaramas, Trinidad and Tobago. In 2012, While in Trinidad, Wereda received a new coat of paint, new head and an engine overhaul. In January 2014, while in St Martin, Wereda received a brand new engine, a 30hp Yanmar and also a new saildrive.

Od jesieni 2004 roku Wereda przygotowywana jest do dluzszych rejsow morskich ktore na dobre winny rozpoczac sie wiosna 2009.
2-go maja 2009, Wereda wyruszyla w droge na Key West na Florydzie. Po 9 ciu dniach przybyla do zielonej boi nr. 1, wejsciowej Pln.Zach. kanalu i odczekala do rana na wejscie do portu ze wzgledu na rekomendacje locji. Po zatankowaniu zacumowano w Conch Harbor a nastepnego dnia przeprowadzona zostala do King's Pointe Marina na pobliskiej Stock Island.
17 tego maja Wereda wyruszyla w kierunku na Arube via Windward Passage.
Przybila do Aruby dokladnie 3 tygodnie pozniej. Plan jest aby spedzic tutaj kilka tygodni oraz poleciec stad do Wenezueli aby zdazyc na uroczystosci rodzinne.
6-tego Sierpnia Wereda oposcila Marine Reaisssance w Oranjestad i udala sie na niedalekie kotwicowisko aby oczekiwac na odpowiednia pogode by rozpoczac nastepny etap wojazu
W poniedzialek, 10tego sierpnia wyruszylismy z Aruby. Po okolo 27 godzinach zeglugi dotarlismy do wybrzezy Curacao..
Poczatkowy plan byl aby po spedzeniu niesiaca czy dwoch w Curacao przeniesc sie do Puerto Cabello, ok. 130nm stad, na wybrzezu Venezueli aby zwiedzac Park Narodowy Morrocoy i plywac wsrod okolicznych malych wysepek. Niestety niepewna sytuacja w tym jakze pieknym kraju spowodowala ze postanowilem nie ruszac sie z Curacao. Wereda pozostanie tutaj podczas gdy ja spedze swieta Bozego Narodzenia i Nowego Roku w Anglii i niemal caly styczen w Polsce. Plany plyniecia w strone Mniejszych Antyli zostana ustalone

9-tego marca 2010, Wereda opuscila Curacao kierujac sie na NNE aby (z zalem) ominac z daleka wyspy wenezuelskie ze wzgledu na szerzace sie akty piractwa. W sobote, 13 tego marca przybylismy do Ponce, w Puerto Rico. Stad bedziemy plynac na wschod w kierunku Wysp Dziewiczych.
Obecnie mamy polowe Czerwca i Wereda jest juz w Chaguaramas, w Trinidadzie, wyslipowana na lad oczekujac niezbednych usprawnien. Ostatnie dwa miesiace uplynely na zeglowaniu wraz z Mackiem po Amerykanskich i Brytyjskich Wyspach Dziewiczych oraz wzdluz lancucha wysp wschodniokaraibskich. Zatrzymywalismy sie w Marigot, St. Martin, Deshaies na Guadelupie, St. Georges na Grenadzie aby wreszcie zawinac do Chaguaramas, Trinidad i Tobago. W roku 2012 podczas pobytu w Chaguaramas Wereda zostala odmalowana, otrzymala nowa toalete oraz remont generalny silnika. Natomiast w styczniu 2014, zainstalowany zostal nowy silnik, Yanmar, 30hp oraz nowy naped typu saildrive.
